 Rawson & Evans Patents
The 1896 Rawson & Evans catalog mentions several patents. With some help from Robare M. Novou, we now have a list of their known patents.

This photo is from the 1896 catalog, showing Samuel Evans, photo etched into a piece of glass! Samuel Evans name is attributed to each of the patents below. They were apparently way ahead of their time! The book says this patent was applied for at print time. I don't see it in the list below.

You can visit the US Patent Office and read up on the exact patents. You just type in PN/494,999 or PN/495,000 etc. in the Query box, and select "1790 to 1975 PN & CCL" only from Select Years box and click Search. The next screen says you need to view "Images" since a full text verson is not available. Click that button. The new page will have a yellow bar across the top with something like "1 of 7"—so you know there are seven pages to this patent. In the text box on the left navigation bar, type in "1", or "2", etc to see the additional pages one at a time.

1891: Patent #494,999 "Process of Chipping Glass"

1891: Patent #495,000 "Process of Ornamenting Glass"

1893: Patent #494,998 "Process of Preparing Glass for the Sand Blast Process"

1896: Patent #684,208 "Preparing Surfaces for Engraving by Sand-Blast or Acid-Etching Process and in Engraving Such Surfaces"

1900: Patent #653,003 "Illuminated Sign"

1903: Patent #739,845 "Illuminated Sign"

1908: Patent #893,063 "Washing-Machine for Glass"

1908: Patent #893,062 "Developing Machine

The image below will give you an idea of what to expect for each patent.
